The Acting Track is designed specifically for students auditioning for admission to acting programs within performing arts high schools for the 2024 school year. (If your student will need both a monologue and a song for their auditions, we recommend checking out the Dual Track.)

During the 8-week class, students will receive:

​

• Monologue guidance and suggestions

• Acting technique and performance coaching

• 4 private acting session

• 3 group acting classes

• 1 two-hour taping session (recording equipment and studio space included)

Schedule:

​

• SEPTEMBER:

  • Between September 18th and October 13th, students will receive a total of (4) 1-hour private acting sessions with Sasha Diamond.

  • After purchasing their plan, students can schedule session online for the day and time of their choice. Acting sessions will be offered Tuesdays or Thursdays after school, and from 12pm-6pm on Sunday October 8th. It's recommended students book early to ensure their first choice of times. 

  • Audition rep will be selected by both instructor and student based on their personal tastes, skills, and goals.

• OCTOBER:

  • Students will then attend (3) 2-hour group classes of their choice, occuring between October 16th - November 4th.

  • Students may choose from Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday sessions of the class each week. Classes are held 4-6pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 12-2pm on Sundays, and are held at Ripley Grier Studios at 305 W. 38th Street and 8th Avenue.

  • Memorization and audition skills will be addressed and practiced, "dress rehearsals" for the Virtual Auditions will be recorded in front of the equipment we'll use for their self-tapes, and "mock auditions" will be held to prepare students for their in-person auditions or callbacks.

• NOVEMBER:

  • Students may then schedule their 2-hour taping session with the instructor on the day and time of their choosing, between November 6th and November 17th.

  • Audition deadlines are usually in December, so they'll be all set well before the deadline and winter holidays arrive.
